This application enables collaborative development of complex integrated systems. Within the web-embedded real-time environment of 5D, multiple users on different locations are working together to develop a design. 5D objects are inserted from libraries, and moved to the preferred locations. Thanks to the intelligence in the objects, connections can be generated automatically and design mistakes, due to incorrect knowledge of the objects, are impossible. Detection of collisions and capacity or flow conflicts is one of the features. Routings are following the built-in space management concepts. Lists with all used materials and flows as well as drawings can be retrieved at any moment. The final result will be an exact photo realistic representation of future car, plane, process tool, factory, etc. 5D.Design follows the physical assembly by changing the status of the objects according to the progress. As-built will become as-designed. Pre- and review at any moment of both design and construction is possible by logging on to the Inter-Vision environment from any web-based location.
